Science Daily – Jan. 28, 2014 – Specific molecules in the exhaled breath of people may be
used to identify people in the early stage of developing lung cancer, a study
presented at the 50th Annual meeting of the Society of Thoracic
Surgeons today shows. Dr. Michael Bousamra of the University of Louisville
presented the findings showing that the cancer-specific compounds were
predictive of lung cancer 95 percent of the time.
